About The Position

The Systems Administrator is accountable for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, as well as the related infrastructure at INSURICAs' multiple locations. This individual participates in technical research and development of innovative solutions that meet the business needs of the organization. The Systems Administrator ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies and values, enabling our colleagues and partners to meet their business objectives effectively and efficiently.

  • 4-6 Years of proven experience in configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting servers, storage, security, networking, messaging, and other systems, in a business setting, with a network of similar size, complexity and nature preferred
  • 2-4 Years of Microsoft Networking experience preferred
  • Associate degree or equivalent education and experience preferred
  • One or more certifications related to servers, storage, security, or other systems specific to the company environment preferred
  • Experience managing and supporting mobile devices and related servers preferred
  • Proficiency with backup and disaster recovery techniques

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support network hardware and software, including messaging systems
  • Manage and support network hardware and software programs, including messaging systems
  • Successfully performed system upgrades at all locations, including planning, testing, and coordinating
  • Perform accurate and successful workstation and server administration and setup
  • Plan and manage data storage on servers and storage area networks
  • Effectively perform daily data backups and recoveries
  • Maintain and execute effective disaster recovery plans for network systems
  • Monitor and maintain system software licensing and maintenance agreements
  • Research and provide recommendations regarding planning and budgeting network systems
  • Manage and support mobile devices and related servers
  • Successfully coordinate services provided by wireless carriers
  • Effectively utilize established guidelines and resources to successfully ensure the security and protection of data from unauthorized access
  • Continuously collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for system processes and procedures
  • Participate in seminars and other training to increase knowledge and develop new skills
