About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day management and maintenance of server hardware and infrastructure systems, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Intune, on-premises Windows servers, virtualization, endpoint management, secure file transfer services, and modern print management. They also hold responsibility with tier 3-level issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and providing guidance to end-users to ensure maximum efficiency and to minimize user downtime. In this unique hands-on role, they will also work in other areas of the department to help support the business, taking on a variety of projects and requires someone who is technically strong and comfortable working across both cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of prior System Administrator experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and Intune administration knowledge
  • Previous understanding/experience with the following: Windows Server, virtualization, Active Directory, and backup experience
  • Mobile device management, software deployment, FTP/SFTP
  • PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 and Windows
  • Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and retention features
  • Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive administration
  • Azure or hybrid cloud experience
  • Entra ID Conditional Access and Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Windows Autopilot and modern device provisioning
  • Microsoft Copilot Experience
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and an excellent team player
  • Relevant certifications or willingness to obtain any of the following: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Entra ID Administrator Associate Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate CompTIA Server+, Network+, or Security+
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting a remote workforce
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and an excellent team player
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical thinking skills; Ability to analyze and effectively solve complex problems, while dealing with stressful situations
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for MDM, MAM, endpoint security, and compliance
  • Maintain on-premises Windows infrastructure including physical servers, virtual machines, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Perform software deployment, patching, and updates
  • Manage secure file transfer services (FTP/SFTP)
  • Manage modern printer management using PrinterLogic
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, assist with upgrades, and maintain documentation
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled support
  • Tier 3-level support to end-users
  • Ensure professional contact with internal customers
  • Ethical conduct is expected at all times
  • Other duties as required
