Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Maintain, troubleshoot, and update Servers, O365 environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP Work with IT Infrastructure on all updates and implementations Assist in the planning, design, development, of new applications and enhancements to existing applications. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Maintain System backups and perform restorations as needed. Monitor system logs, performance and storage capacity to ensure optimal uptime and reliability Design, develop and document solutions for the credit union. Act as the key technical liaison between users, vendors, and IT. Communicate with end users to define business requirements and systems goals Update system settings to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures, or policies. Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. Perform server audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintains ongoing communications with Management, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility. Cooperates with other department personnel to ensure a "team effort" and prompt member service. Promotes and maintains a positive image of the credit union to assigned personnel, members, and the community. Follows safety and security rules and regulations. Ensures that all information and transactions regarding credit union operations and members are kept confidential. Maintains the security of the work area and keeps it organized and neat in appearance. Maintains current knowledge of credit union philosophy, plus all credit union services and policies. Cross-sells credit union products and services. Participates in continuing education as approved by Senior Management. Maintains a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors. Protects and respects credit union equipment and supplies. Attends meetings as required. Adheres to ECU Employee Personnel Policy and Guidelines Handbook. Promotes and maintains a positive image of ECU to members and the community. Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Management. Knowledge and Experience Education/Certification/ Experience Degree in related field preferred or five years relevant work experience in overseeing the design development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products. Knowledge of standard hardware and software, security principles, and general best practices. Understanding of Networking and Security fundamentals Experience with Windows OS (Linux a plus) Experience with Hypervisor and Virtual Machine management Experience with Backup solution on Prem and/or cloud-based Experience with Group Policy Experience in O365 Admin Center (tools including Identity, Exchange online) Experience in AD management Experience in Patch Management Preferred experience with PowerShell Preferred experience with the ability to automate tasks Preferred experience with network protocols, IP Configuration and subnetting
