About The Position

We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator with a strong background in Microsoft technologies to manage, maintain, and optimize our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, Azure services, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools. Additionally the candidate should have a strong ability to learn new applications as they are integrated. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can balance day-to-day operations with project-based initiatives that enhance performance, reliability, and security across the IT ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, firewalls).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patching, monitoring, and security compliance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MS-102, AZ-104, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect, Entra ID).
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (Veeam, Azure Backup).
  • Exposure to ITIL practices or structured service management.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including patching, performance tuning, and security hardening.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, OneDrive).
  • Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related identity management functions.
  • Deploy and manage virtualized environments using Hyper-V and/or Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Assist with cloud resource configuration and governance within Microsoft Azure.
  • Support end-user systems and mobile device management through Intune or similar tools.
  • Perform routine system monitoring, backup validation, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on security, networking, and application initiatives.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex technical issues.
