About The Position

The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y. Jordan Health is now seeking an IT Systems Administrator who, under the guidance of the IT Systems Manager, is primarily responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s network infrastructure across all locations. The IT Systems Administrator manages firewalls, switches, VPN tunnels, servers, wireless networks, backups, and system monitoring while collaborating closely with the IT Manager and support staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, VLANS’s, VPN’s, and Windows Servers.
  • Understanding of HIPPA/HITECH requirements and network security practices.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, SHCP, Group Policy.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare (FQHC, hospital, clinic environment)
  • Familiarity with Meraki, Fortinet, SonicWall, or similar network systems.
  • Experience with VoIP administration and telehealth infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and monitor LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Maintain reliable network performance, uptime, and capacity planning.
  • Manage backup systems, disasters recovery procedures, and log reviews.
  • Implement and monitor intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint protection, and security audits.
  • Manage patching, updates, and system hardening.
  • Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, and system performance problems.
  • Assist in IT planning, budgeting, and infrastructure road maps.
