About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator I is responsible for providing a reliable work environment for the organization from desktop and printer support to server and network performance in an Azure hybrid cloud-based environment. This position is responsible for maintaining the foundational information technology resources in the organization while also providing end-user support and being an escalation point for other IT Support Technician staff.

Requirements

  • Experience with operating systems, current IT equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals such as central processing units, servers, monitors, cables, network systems, printers, and other accessories.
  • Advanced skills in troubleshooting and solving hardware and software problems.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Exceptional customer service, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled at Providing responsive support in patient-care areas with minimal disruption to staff operations.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to work well with others across all departments.
  • Ability to work in a multi-culture environment, understands the social and cultural context of the patients at the didgʷálič Wellness Center. Understands the role of trauma, historical, community, family, and personal experience in wellness and recovery.
  • Understands and adheres to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2). Applicants must always conduct self ethically and professionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or other closely related field required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role required.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role may substitute for education requirements.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Works under the tutelage of Technology and InfoSec Lead.
  • Conducts Active Directory and Group Policy administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with hypervisor technology, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Support endpoint protection, encryption, MFA, and secure remote access using Windows Defender/Intune technology
  • Assist with audit preparation, access reviews, and incident response
  • Supports the restoration of critical systems in a timely manner during a disaster recovery situation.
  • Provide training and coaching to other IT staff where Sys Admin I subject matter expertise sharing is beneficial to other team members.
  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s IT resources are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software.
  • Maintains the Windows Desktop and Server based hardware and software.
  • Support and troubleshoot VoIP phone systems.
  • Provides Office365 email support as well as other Office365 products.
  • Supports Verizon Connect fleet vehicle software.
  • Manages and supports Kantech building access management software.
  • Assists in the planning, design research, and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems.
  • Documents IT tasks and procedures to increase collaboration and minimize risk of knowledge gaps of the organization’s critical IT systems.
  • Responsible for managing the IT issues and requests queue using standard IT Service Desk Management software.
  • Ensure IT Services help requests are responded to in a courteous, timely, and effective manager for all end users.
  • Establish help desk metrics and provide data and reporting of support requests and trends to management on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Ensure IT issues and requests resolutions are thoroughly documented, and the IT Knowledgebase is updated when appropriate.
  • Acts as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians; providing support for hardware and software issues that require a higher level of expertise in troubleshooting and resolving.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
