About The Position

Our IT System Administrator keeps the core systems and infrastructure of Truck Centers, Inc. running smoothly, securely, and consistently across the business. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll own projects end-to-end, lead automation efforts, and bring smart, modern solutions to the table. Schedule: This is a hybrid position Monday-Friday where work-from-home flexibility is provided 1-2 days a week once you are trained!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience doing system administration or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure, networking, Microsoft SQL Server, and Windows OS administration
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python for automation and scripting
  • Experience automating manual processes and managing virtual machine environments
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to safety, quality work, customer service, and company values
  • Valid driver's license with ability to meet insurance requirements
  • Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Commvault Backups, Procede, HALO HelpDesk ITSM, CrowdStrike, and AI system implementation are all highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Active Directory and Entra ID environments to ensure secure, efficient identity and access management.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance and connectivity.
  • Administer and support the Dealer Management System (Procede), ensuring system reliability and user accessibility.
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backups, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell and/or Python scripts to automate recurring tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Lead automation initiatives, transforming manual workflows into streamlined, technology-driven solutions.
  • Administer the Help Desk ticketing administration (HALO HelpDesk ITSM platform), ensuring effective help desk ticketing, workflow management, and user support.
  • Support and manage AI systems to enhance business operations and introduce intelligent process improvements.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Hyper-V environments, including virtual machine configuration and resource management.
  • Manage Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Oversee backup management systems, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and recovery readiness.
