IT Support Technician
About The Position
Assist IT Manager in providing on-site technical support for hotel IT infrastructure and applications. Maintain hotel servers, workstations, networking equipment, phones, and user accounts, while limiting amount of work stoppage in a 24/7 work environment. Works on assigned projects related to property systems, providing end-user support for property systems, troubleshoots hardware and software problems, and assists users with desktop applications. Essential Functions: Desktop Support: Provides first-level or end-user/customer telephone support Physical setting up of computers and software system installation for various computer applications and programs Will escalate a problem to other network or system support personnel when the problem is not easily identified and corrected Assists staff to diagnose and solve computer equipment problems Troubleshooting routine problems and maintenance of servers Maintaining other computer peripheral devices such as printers and solving printing problems if they arise Troubleshoot common problems and work with the corporate helpdesk and infrastructure teams to resolve IT issues. Maintain availability and security of networks throughout the hotel. Assist in developing and maintaining documentation of all hardware, systems, and software licensing as well as warranties, replacements and upgrades of all hardware/software and infrastructure. Assist with maintaining reports related to LAN/WAN services including daily backups, Antivirus, Security, PCI compliance, inventory (software and hardware) Assist with all reasonable requests made from various departments throughout the hotels and ensure all departments have the proper technology, in working order, in order to complete their responsibilities. Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations as applicable. Attend training & certification updates to hotel applications. Attend meetings/training as required by management. Comply with corporate and hotel PCI Standards in relations to creation, deletion, adjustments and user access set up.
