About The Position

Shoreline is seeking a talented IT Support Technician to provide technical support across Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. This role offers a dynamic work environment with daily variety, hands-on challenges, and opportunities to learn and work with a wide range of technologies. You’ll gain experience across: IT infrastructure Telecommunications Sensors and security systems (doors, cameras) Audio and video systems And more Job Overview Provide Level 1–4 IT support both remotely and onsite to a diverse client base. You will play a key role in the strategy, management, and maintenance of client technology infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Server and network management experience
  • Workstation and server migrations
  • Windows OS support (Windows 7–11 required)
  • Windows Server (2016–2025 preferred)
  • Firewalls (DNAT, port forwarding, WAN/LAN, VLANs)
  • Switches (VLANs, OSI model understanding)
  • Access points (including point-to-point systems)
  • Cisco or Ubiquiti/UniFi experience (certifications a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and personable demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and memory retention
  • Customer-focused and calm under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • Ability to use power tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in any of the following is a plus:
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Retail (grocery, convenience stores, petroleum)
  • Restaurants
  • Medical or dental software
  • Manufacturing or industrial systems
  • CRM, ERP, or MRP systems
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • VMware or Hyper-V
  • Wireshark and Linux command line
  • Clean background (no prior convictions or felonies)
  • Military service (especially with active security clearance)
  • Clean driving record
  • 3+ professional references

Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote and onsite IT support
  • Manage and maintain client infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist with system migrations and deployments
  • Ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction
