About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Due to our growth, we are looking for an IT Support Tech for our Itasca location. This position will install or troubleshoot requests related to hardware, software, networking components, and IT-related services. The IT Support Tech supports the set-up of new hires, maintains parts, manages inventory, and logs all service and repair activity. HOURS: First Shift: 8:30AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday. LOCATION: Onsight at our facility in Itasca, Illinois. Pay range- $25-$28/hr. Requirements

  • Prior IT Support experience or IT Related Certifications Required
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities with PCs, networking equipment, Microsoft products, and printing devices.
  • Ability to understand and use VPN products.
  • Ability to use FTP Software.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Exchange Online.
  • Ability to set up and install new PCs
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures as directed.
  • Ability to communicate both effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
  • Emergency availability on-site, via remote access, or both.
  • Able to lift, walk and access areas in the warehouse to troubleshoot IT-related issues.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid IT Specialist certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to IT Support Requests including acknowledgment of the ticket, communication to the internal client and other IT staff throughout the progress of the support ticket and closing of the ticket after resolution.
  • Assist internal clients with IT to support functions including but not limited to printer support, PC or Laptop support, MS Office Support, and IT owned application support.
  • Maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Online and Active Directory.
  • Maintenance of the phone and internet services and devices at each location.
  • Vendor server support including working with the equipment vendors.
  • Installing additional IT-related components. This includes but is not limited to routers, switches, network cabling, and security cameras.
  • Regular maintenance and support of IT related equipment in the warehouse including but not limited to PCs, cabling, network devices, and networked printers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
