We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to act as the first point of contact for all IT helpdesk needs within the San Diego office. The IT Support Specialist will ensure a seamless technology experience for AppFolio employees, providing the technology tools and services necessary to accomplish their daily work. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is a fast learner with excellent customer service skills. This in-person position will require being in the San Diego office daily.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting advanced computer issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
  • Excellent and creative problem-solving skills. You don’t need to know everything, but you need to know how to find the solution.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and willing to teach, learn, and be a generalist
  • Ability to travel to other AppFolio hub locations as needed, lift 25 lbs, and work in person 5 days a week

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of background in technical documentation and ticketing systems
  • Experience working with audio-visual equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Address tickets in queues quickly and efficiently
  • Suggest improvements to processes, individual productivity, and costs.
  • Maintain inventory of company assets and equipment
  • Set up new employees and coordinate employee moves onto existing and expanding networks
  • Perform hands-on equipment configuration (Mac, PC, Monitors, Phones, Audiovisual)
  • Troubleshoot and maintain all hardware associated with end-user computing, including printers, workstations, and phones
  • Create and maintain internal and external technical documentation
  • Inspect and maintain conference rooms
  • Take ownership and manage critical IT systems
