About The Position

The IT Support Specialist II will be responsible for duties such as providing remote and on-site support; assistance in hardware, software, and network related issues; responding to email and phone calls, and projects such as IT equipment refreshes. This is done through leading by example, ensuring employees are properly trained, holding themselves and others accountable, meeting established metrics and maximizing efficiency throughout the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Certificate or associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Desktop Support desired
  • Networking experience with ability to diagnose and resolve network related issues
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Group Policy
  • Basic understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with or without supervision
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.), bending, standing, crawling and walking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and desire to continually learn new technologies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge for ensuring all employees, customers, and visitors understand the importance of 100% safety compliance and maintaining an injury free workplace.
  • Serves as tier 2 escalation for IT related problems via email, phone and desk side support
  • Deploy and maintain: Computer hardware and software Networking equipment Printers Barcode Scanners Tablet and other mobile devices
  • Basic trouble shooting for networking and server issues
  • Monitor production servers for load and performance bottlenecks
  • Track IT equipment inventory
  • Escalates requests to appropriate IT staff for resolution
  • After hours and weekend support is occasionally required
