IT Support Services Assistant
About The Position
The IT Support Services Assistant is a part-time student position responsible for providing hands-on technical support for Information Technology Services. The role supports three primary service areas in the UITS Service Management organization: Desktop Support, CCTV Support, and Audio/Visual (AV) Support. The candidate must be a current University of Arkansas student who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to gain real-world IT experience. This position is not remote-eligible and is onsite at the Administrative Services Building. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Arkansas
- Basic familiarity with computers, operating systems, and technology troubleshooting (training provided)
- Must be able to lift 20-30 pounds and climb ladders up to 10 feet
- Must be able to obtain CJIS-clearance through the University of Arkansas Police Department
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Prior exposure to CCTV systems or AV equipment
- Experience using IT ticketing systems
