About The Position

As an IT Support & Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the smooth operation of our technology systems and operations and providing responsive, friendly support for our team members. You will be responsible for troubleshooting basic to moderate hardware and software issues, assisting with technology-related questions, and collaborating with our IT vendor to address complex technical challenges. Technology to support includes – desktop and laptop computers, standard office and productivity software, printers, and teleconferencing equipment. As directed, you may also provide support for large-scale projects or specialized systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems for end users (Windows and macOS).
  • Excellent proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate with calm urgency to support team members and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
  • Intermediate experience with any of the following is a plus: MS Office, Monday.com.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to team members, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Help manage several vendor accounts to ensure all information is accurate and up to date, and quality relationships are maintained.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, and other technology-related equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic to moderate technical issues, both remotely and in person, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate regularly with our IT vendor to escalate and resolve complex technical problems and coordinate system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Facilitate procurement and maintain an organized inventory of technology assets and equipment assignments.
  • Create and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures, technology configurations, and user guides.
  • Assist with technology-related onboarding and training for new team members, as well as support ongoing training and promotion of good IT-related habits.
  • Communicate effectively with team members on the status of projects and open support requests.
  • Learn about industry trends and emerging technologies to help provide proactive support, recommendations, and training.
  • Provide general support to operations and workflows as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive, safe, respectful, professional work environment and culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.
