About The Position

FusionTek is an established Managed Service Provider with clients both domestically and internationally, specializing in providing top-notch network and computer support and IT consulting services to small and mid-size organizations. They are looking for paid interns to join their team and develop their technical skillset. The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, driven, has a thirst for knowledge, a passion for new technologies, and is results-oriented, enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed to personal and professional development. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Requirements

  • Foundational computer knowledge on Windows or Mac platforms
  • A genuine interest in troubleshooting, learning, and growing in IT
  • A planned career path in the IT services industry
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies
  • Excellent time management and ability to stay organized
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering great support
  • Clear and confident verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, friendly way
  • Able to lift and carry computer components up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable working with hardware when needed
  • Must be able to commute daily to our Washington DC office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with an IT ticketing system
  • Any exposure to helpdesk, support, or customer‑facing roles is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Learn and provide support of desktop and laptop systems, including break/fix service, operating system and application loading, application configurations and user settings, and desktop administrative duties
  • Record, track, and escalate cases through the already established tracking system
  • Help keep documentation up to date and in tip-top shape
  • Work directly with clients, both remotely and onsite
  • Coordinate projects and tasks seamlessly with Service Delivery team members, as well as with our advanced technical team
