This opportunity combines a summer internship with a 15-week co-op and is designed for actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate students graduating between December 2026 and May 2027. The role requires full-time availability (40 hours per week) during Summer 2026, with the opportunity to continue part-time (up to 20 hours per week) in Fall 2026. This is a hybrid role that includes both remote and in-office support. Interns are expected to work onsite on Wednesdays at our South Congress office, with the possibility of additional in-office days based on team needs. The summer internship runs from June 3 through August 7. Following the summer term, participants will transition into the co-op portion of the program. We are looking for a motivated and curious IT Support Co-op Intern to join our IT team for the summer. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role offers hands-on experience supporting day-to-day IT operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll gain exposure to real-world systems, tools, and processes while contributing to meaningful projects that improve how our employees interact with technology.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or a related field
  • Rising junior or senior (3rd or 4th year student preferred)
  • Prior IT support, help desk, or technical experience is not required, but exposure through coursework, projects, or internships is a plus
  • Basic familiarity with Mac operating systems
  • Exposure or interest in tools such as Jamf, Okta, Google Workspace, and Atlassian products
  • General understanding of IT support concepts, device setup, and troubleshooting
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to learn quickly
  • Self-starter who can take initiative and manage tasks independently
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on helping end users effectively
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple requests
  • Hybrid work environment with both in-office and remote responsibilities
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Gmail, Slack, Jamf, Okta, or ticketing systems
  • Exposure to help desk environments or troubleshooting hardware/software issues
  • Interest in automation, AI tools, or building internal support solutions

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 help desk support by triaging and resolving incoming requests through ticketing systems, Slack, and in-person interactions
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, provisioning, and access management
  • Configure and support Mac devices and related hardware
  • Document IT workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures to improve team efficiency
  • Review and update outdated internal how-to guides and knowledge base articles
  • Audit existing applications and tools to ensure accuracy, usage alignment, and access control
  • Partner with the IT team to support and enhance an internal IT AI bot for employee support
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and access issues across core systems
