About The Position

Otter Tail Corporation (OTC) is hiring an IT Support Engineer to join our
Information Technology team. The IT Support Engineer supports the development,
implementation, and ongoing operation of the organization’s information systems,
with a strong focus on end‑user support, device management, and systems
operations. Reporting to the Manager of Information Systems, this role partners
closely with internal teams to provide technical support, assist with system
improvements, and ensure technology effectively supports business operations
across the organization.

We are seeking a candidate with strong problem‑solving skills, a
customer‑service mindset, and the ability to work independently while
collaborating effectively with others. The ideal candidate will have a solid
understanding of desktop systems, operating systems, and enterprise IT
environments, along with the ability to communicate technical information
clearly to users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in an IT support or related role.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working in an enterprise‑level business environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides day‑to‑day technical support to users, responding to inquiries related to system access, applications, and device issues.
• Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely resolutions.
• Deploys, configures, and supports laptops, tablets, and other company‑issued devices.
• Configures, installs, and supports information systems and related hardware to ensure reliable and effective operations.
• Develops, packages, and maintains operating systems and applications using automated deployment tools for Windows environments.
• Applies system updates, patches, and configuration changes to support security, consistency, and performance.
• Assists with the evaluation and implementation of software solutions and system improvements.
• Participates in system assessments, surveys, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs internal control‑related responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

• The expected base compensation for this role is $65,000-$82,000 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
