The following is a sourcing requisition for a potential new manufacturing site. This requisition is to support a new factory startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies. This role is a key member of the factory startup team and will act as the primary IT authority on-site during the build and launch phase. The IT Supervisor is expected to operate independently, lead site IT projects end-to-end, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and establish IT operations in a new geographic region where no existing Jabil IT presence exists. JOB SUMMARY Lead and supervise IT staff and the activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of day-to-day operational issues and opportunities for improvement. Ensures that all phases of IT services are coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately. Assigns personnel to various operations and directs their activities. Interacts with peers, customers, vendors, and corporate IT on a regular basis, focusing on business processes and business systems. Reviews and evaluates work and prepares performance reports.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in IT operations
  • Proven project management experience, preferably in factory or startup environments
  • Strong vendor management and coordination skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a self-starter role with minimal local oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of IT operations experience, preferably in manufacturing or factory environments
  • 3+ years of experience leading IT teams or major IT projects
  • Experience supporting greenfield sites or large-scale deployments strongly preferred
  • ITIL experience preferred
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

Responsibilities

  • Participate in recruitment of IT support personnel
  • Train staff on site and corporate tools, processes, and service delivery models
  • Lead performance management activities including reviews, development plans, training plans, succession planning, and recognition programs
  • Manage and improve IT service metrics, performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate work schedules, priorities, and task execution for IT personnel
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of key performance data
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security policies, and SOX controls
  • Serve as the primary on-site escalation point for IT-related issues during startup and steady-state operations
  • Lead IT infrastructure buildout for a new manufacturing facility including network, end-user computing, factory floor IT, and site services
  • Act as primary interface with external IT vendors, service providers, carriers, and system integrators
  • Coordinate IT readiness with construction, facilities, security, manufacturing engineering, and operations teams
  • Own local IT project execution including timelines, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Manage local IT budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend as directed
  • Establish new measurement systems where applicable
  • Share best practices with other Jabil facilities
  • Ensure adherence to company policies including security, safety, health, and quality
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and customer information
  • Work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Engage with customers to evaluate issues and identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform project management and financial-related duties as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
