Midco Diving & Marine Services is the leading full-service underwater construction, inspection, and repair firm in the nation. We are seeking a proactive IT Specialist to join our team and become the central resource for all internal technology. This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our entire IT infrastructure and providing excellent technical support to every employee.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a generalist IT support or systems administration role.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred; relevant experience can substitute.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting; familiarity with Microsoft 365.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Demonstrated experience administering and troubleshooting VoIP systems (Allworx is a plus!)
  • Familiarity with Google Ads or other digital advertising platforms for supporting web content optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent documentation habits, and professional end-user communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade all end-user hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert support for hardware, software, and network issues, accurately documenting all resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Network Maintenance: Manage and maintain core network infrastructure, including the configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security measures and enforce IT policies, including performing regular data backups and testing restorability.
  • Asset & Lifecycle Management: Own the IT asset lifecycle, maintaining precise inventory of hardware, software licenses, and cloud subscriptions from procurement through disposal.
  • Telecom Administration: Administer and support the corporate telephony (VoIP) system and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Project Execution: Execute technical tasks for internal IT projects, such as system rollouts and infrastructure migrations.
  • Digital Operations: Perform routine maintenance and content updates for the company website and manage scheduling/deployment across social media platforms.
