About The Position

We’re looking for an IT Specialist with a broad background and experience providing Tier 1 and 2 network, systems, and phone support to help us operate and maintain our client’s IT systems. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning and provide direct desktop support to users. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. What You’ll Work On: Provide installation, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break or fix, defense, and management of WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software, including network hardware and software. Configure, install, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LAN or WAN capabilities, including point-to-point circuits, satellite connectivity, dedicated Internet connections, and broadband Internet connections, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, and encryption devices. Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructures, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, external USSOCOM and commercial provider circuits and encryption devices. Configure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT Programs of Record (PORs). Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) architectures. Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LANs, including wireless access points and their interconnection to the wired infrastructure. Provision, operate, manage, and monitor LAN or WAN Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SIE and shared public IP networks, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and directives. Troubleshoot LAN or WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them. Implementing network and security access. Collaborate and coordinate with external government and commercial circuit providers to expedite the restoration of circuit outages. Providing mobile device and CSfC kit support. Join us. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience providing Tier 1 and 2 network, VTC, and desktop support to clients
  • Experience with multiple network protocols, software, and hardware involved in IT Specialist operations
  • Knowledge of government hardware, software, and network components
  • Ability to work a shift or non-standard work schedule to support the client’s mission
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • IAT Level II Certification and Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification
