About The Position

Stefanini Group is looking for a detail‑oriented and highly motivated IT Lab Systems Specialist to support our client"s technical lab operations. This role ensures that a wide range of lab hardware, software, and network-connected devices operate reliably in support of testing, validation, and pre‑production activities. You will work hands‑on with desktops, laptops, servers, storage devices, wireless equipment, and lab tools to maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment. As a Level 2 technical resource, you will perform imaging, patching, diagnostics, structured cabling, inventory management, and system configuration while collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable supporting a fast‑paced technical lab used by internal engineering and IT stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Hardware & Systems Maintenance Install, configure, maintain, and decommission lab hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, storage devices, wireless devices, and peripherals Perform routine diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements Image, patch, and upgrade operating systems and firmware in alignment with company standards Software Management Install, configure, and maintain lab software, tools, and applications Support testing and validation of software updates, patches, and new technologies Ensure systems comply with corporate security and configuration policies Networking & Cabling Manage structured cabling, labeling, and patching to ensure a clean, organized, and functional lab environment Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues (LAN, VLANs, IP addressing) Documentation & Standards Create and maintain accurate lab documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, build guides, and procedures Document changes, issues, and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and audit requirements Follow and help improve lab standards, processes, and best practices Inventory & Asset Management Track lab assets including hardware, software licenses, cables, wireless devices, and accessories Maintain inventory records, asset tags, and lifecycle status Coordinate equipment procurement, storage, refresh, and disposal in accordance with corporate policies Collaboration & Support Work closely with corporate IT teams (infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams) to support lab initiatives Assist with testing, proof-of-concepts, and pre-production validation Provide hands-on support for internal stakeholders using the lab environment Requirement Years of Experience ~2-3+ years in deskside/deployment or lab support roles. Education Associate"s or equivalent experience; Bachelor"s a plus. Certifications (Helpful) CompTIA A+, Network+; Microsoft MCP/MD‑102 (or equivalent) preferred; ITIL Foundation nice to have.
