About The Position
Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company (GTL) is currently seeking a Summer 2026 IT Security Intern to join our team! This position is required to work on-site in our Chicagoland (Glenview, IL) office 5 days per week. If you want to create, build, work, and learn with other smart, innovative people come and join us! An IT Security Intern is expected to perform hands-on cybersecurity tasks and other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. The goal of this position is to provide college students with valuable real-life experience in an IT Security environment by working on meaningful projects and immersing them in a professional work setting similar to what they will encounter after graduation. Our ideal candidate is a Junior or Senior. During this internship, you will gain professional work experience by contributing to real cybersecurity initiatives and security operations. You will participate in the day-to-day use of a suite of enterprise security tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Students in their Junior or Senior year that are working towards a Degree in Computer Science or other relevant degree.
- Please note we are considering undergraduate students only for this internship.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of security solutions using security platforms.
- Participate in security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and incident response support.
- Analyze, design, gather requirements, and document security processes and applications.
- Support the team in building, testing, and deploying security-related software solutions.
- Help maintain compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT Security team on various projects to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
