The IT Security and Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of organizational IT security and infrastructure. This role demands extensive hands-on experience in network security—including firewalls and zero trust architectures—security operations using industry-leading tools, Azure Cloud security, Windows Server administration, infrastructure physical layer management, and the implementation and support of audio/visual systems. The ideal candidate will ensure robust protection, operational integrity, and optimal performance across all platforms and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer Associate, MCSE, or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network security, including hands-on firewall management and zero trust implementations.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience with security operations platforms such as Qradar and SentinelOne.
  • Minimum 3 years in Azure Cloud security administration.
  • At least 5 years of Windows Server maintenance, including DFS and printer management.
  • Experience in managing physical infrastructure layers, including hyperconverged systems, cabling, and hardware installation.
  • Demonstrated history of audio/visual system deployment and support in a business environment.
  • Firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
  • Zero Trust security frameworks
  • SIEM solutions (Qradar, SentinelOne)
  • Azure Active Directory and Azure Security Center
  • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Distributed File System (DFS), printer management
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure platforms (e.g., Nutanix, VMware vSAN)
  • Audio/Visual technologies (Crestron, Extron, Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms)
  • Network cabling and physical infrastructure best practices

Responsibilities

  • Network Security: Design, implement, and monitor secure network architectures; configure and manage firewalls; enforce zero trust security principles; conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation.
  • Security Operations: Operate and optimize SIEM and endpoint security platforms such as Qradar and SentinelOne; perform incident detection, analysis, and response; develop and maintain security operations procedures.
  • Azure Cloud Security: Manage Azure security controls, monitor cloud-based resources, enforce compliance policies, and safeguard cloud workloads against threats.
  • Windows Server Maintenance: Administer Windows Server environments, including Distributed File Systems (DFS) and network printers; perform routine patching, updates, and troubleshooting; ensure high availability and data integrity.
  • Infrastructure Physical Layer: Oversee the installation, configuration, and support of hyperconverged systems; maintain cabling, racks, and other physical infrastructure components; ensure reliable connectivity and hardware performance.
  • Audio/Visual Implementation and Support: Deploy, configure, and support audio/visual equipment for meeting spaces, presentations, and events; troubleshoot AV systems and provide user training as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of configurations, incidents, and maintenance activities; produce regular reports for management and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT application support teams, cyber security, and facilities teams to ensure cohesive operations and rapid issue resolution.
