About The Position

In this hybrid role, you will lead and coordinate medium to large-scale IT initiatives that support the ongoing transformation and expansion of our Manhattan campuses. This role requires a strong technical foundation and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional IT projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have progressed from a hands-on technical role (such as desktop or technical support) into project management and understands how to effectively coordinate across multiple IT disciplines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale IT projects in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical backgroun, with prior hands-on experience in desktop support, technical support, or similar IT roles.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure including networking, structured cabling, AV systems, and end-user computing.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, and project cost management.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and clinical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or hospital IT environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Coordinate across multiple IT teams including structured cabling, construction, desktop support, networking, AV, and related infrastructure groups.
  • Identify when to engage appropriate technical teams and ensure seamless collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Partner with construction and facilities teams to support campus transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Own project budgeting, including cost estimation, tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Facilitate large stakeholder meetings, including agenda creation, leading discussions, and documenting outcomes, risks, and action items.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and project artifacts.
  • Act as a liaison between IT teams and clinical staff, ensuring technology solutions align with operational and patient care needs.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and drive mitigation strategies.
