About The Position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise IT initiatives in support of federal mission objectives. This role focuses on managing cross-functional technical efforts, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, and performance expectations. The IT Project Manager serves as a central coordination point between engineering teams, service providers, and government stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, disciplined project execution, and the ability to operate effectively in a compliance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–9 years of IT project management experience, preferably in federal or large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers, leadership, and government stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, SLAs, and performance metrics for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams.
  • Current U.S. residence and within U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Candidates should be available for collaboration using company and/or client communication tools (e.g., Teams, Slack, Monday.com, email) and able to attend required meetings during core EST business hours, depending on mission needs.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or CAPM certification.
  • ITIL certification or familiarity with IT service management practices.
  • Experience supporting federal IT programs or large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Foundational understanding of infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and security concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of end-to-end IT projects across infrastructure, systems, and enterprise technology domains.
  • Manage project lifecycles from initiation through closeout, ensuring adherence to defined scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate execution across internal technical teams and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, including task sequencing, dependency mapping, and critical path analysis.
  • Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and cost against approved baselines, identifying and addressing variances.
  • Track and manage inter-project dependencies, risks, and constraints across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Identify project risks and issues early, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate as appropriate to protect delivery commitments.
  • Maintain project artifacts—including plans, forecasts, risk logs, and status reports—to provide transparent visibility into progress and decision points.
  • Facilitate regular project reviews and stakeholder updates, enabling informed decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Apply Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies based on project needs and delivery context.
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams to manage workflows, schedules, and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, trend analysis, and refinement of project management practices.
