Job Summary Columbia Machine is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead transformative technology initiatives across our global organization. The primary focus of this role is to drive the successful execution of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modernization program, including the upgrade and migration of our Infor M3 platform to a modern cloud based environment. In this role, the IT Project Manager will oversee cross functional technology projects that directly support Columbia Machine’s strategic business goals. This includes managing scope, resources, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment across worldwide teams. The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership capabilities, deep experience with ERP systems (preferably Infor M3), and a track record of delivering complex, enterprise wide initiatives in a global setting. The IT Project Manager will collaborate closely with business leaders, technical teams, external partners, and end users to ensure project outcomes drive operational efficiency, support organizational growth, and enable long term technology scalability. This position plays a critical part in shaping Columbia Machine’s digital transformation roadmap and advancing our global business capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, security standards, and integration technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi phase enterprise projects with global stakeholders.
  • Skilled in defining scope, building project plans, tracking milestones, and managing budgets.
  • Strong capabilities in risk management, issue resolution, and change control.
  • Experience managing ERP implementations or upgrades (Strongly Preferred), ideally Infor M3 or similar enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including status reporting and executive presentations.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, business friendly language.
  • Adept at facilitating workshops, requirements sessions, and cross departmental meetings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with documentation tools, workflow mapping, and collaboration platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science related field required.
  • At least three years of Project Management experience required.
  • PMP Certification Required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the global ERP transformation, including the upgrade and migration of Infor M3 to a cloud based platform.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross functional project teams from IT, operations, finance, supply chain, and other business units to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Oversee vendor and implementation partner activities, ensuring deliverables meet quality, functional, and technical expectations.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, documenting business processes, and ensuring functional and technical requirements are clearly defined and approved.
  • Drive effective communication across global stakeholders, including regular project updates, steering committee presentations, and status reports.
  • Manage risks, issues, and change control, proactively identifying obstacles and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure successful integration, testing, data migration, and validation for ERP and related systems.
  • Support organizational change management efforts, including training coordination, user adoption, and communication planning.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and project management standards throughout the lifecycle of all assigned projects.
  • Align technology initiatives with business strategy, identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate post go live support activities, ensuring stabilization, issue remediation, and smooth transition to operations and support teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects, balancing priorities to support business goals across the global organization.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, serving as a trusted partner in defining technology enabled solutions.
