About The Position

EMPIST is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for our growing team! We are looking for a bright, motivated, detail-oriented IT Project Manager to be responsible for coordinating, tracking, scheduling and managing the diverse components of IT projects (Network/Server Refreshes, O365/Cloud Migrations, Wi-Fi Deployments, etc.) in order to execute these projects effectively, efficiently, on time and in budget. The IT Project Manager plays a critical role in welcoming new Managed Services clients, managing technical readiness tasks, and ensuring a smooth and professional transition into a long-term partnership with EMPIST.

Requirements

  • High-School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in IT Project Management; previous MSP experience will receive preferential consideration
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organizational discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations during early-stage engagements
  • Ability to interpret, process, and deliver on SOWs
  • Comfortable liaising with stakeholders from all levels, client-facing and internally
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud environments, and general IT concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Driven to learn, grow into a bigger role and take on more responsibilities
  • Positive attitude and work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Monday.com platform a plus
  • PMP certification or in-pursuit a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding of new MSP clients from Sales handoff through operational go‑live, including kickoff meetings, status updates, readiness tracking, and final handoff to Operations.
  • Coordinate project requirements and deliverables across IT initiatives such as network/server refreshes, cloud migrations, and Wi‑Fi deployments.
  • Create and manage project schedules, resource assignments, client timelines, and vendor coordination.
  • Communicate project scope, milestones, risks, and expectations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to scope, quality standards, and PMO processes.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including kickoff, weekly updates, and closeout calls.
  • Manage change orders, scope clarifications, and escalation paths for both onboarding and Professional Services projects.
  • Work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical teams to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, handoff materials, and project artifacts to support consistent delivery.
  • Guide clients toward EMPIST best practices and service standardization throughout the onboarding and project lifecycle.
