About The Position

This will be a Hybrid role (2 days onsite per week) based out of our Franklin, TN office. Job Summary: The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology initiatives that support clinical operations, practice growth, and enterprise strategy across our Dental Support Organization (DSO). This role partners closely with IT, clinical leadership, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. The IT Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of initiatives including infrastructure upgrades, practice technology deployments (PMS, imaging, CBCT, VoIP), cybersecurity enhancements, cloud migrations, and enterprise system implementations. This individual ensures strong governance, clear communication, proactive risk management, and minimal disruption to patient care during implementations. Success in this role requires strong technical fluency (networks, servers, security, cloud environments), structured project execution discipline, vendor coordination expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in a multi-site, fast-paced healthcare environment. Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading infrastructure, software implementation, and practice-level technology deployments.
  • 2+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects across geographically dispersed locations.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating third-party vendors and managed service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of IT projects across practices and corporate functions (infrastructure, PMS, imaging, CBCT, VoIP, cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise systems).
  • Develop detailed project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Coordinate closely with practice managers, clinical teams, and operations leaders to minimize patient care disruption during implementations.
  • Develop go-live strategies that reduce chair downtime and protect production.
  • Align technical implementations with business goals and growth initiatives (de novos, acquisitions, relocations).
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure proper network readiness, server capacity, endpoint standards, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Validate software version compatibility (PMS, imaging, CBCT) prior to upgrades or relocations.
  • Oversee system testing, validation, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Coordinate external vendors including imaging manufacturers, PMS providers, telecom providers, and MSP partners.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with contract scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate issue escalation and resolution during implementation windows.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks (technical, operational, regulatory).
  • Maintain risk logs and issue trackers; lead resolution efforts.
  • Conduct impact analysis for scope changes and communicate implications clearly.
  • Provide regular status updates to IT leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Track KPIs including budget adherence, timeline performance, practice downtime, and post-go-live stability.
  • Ensure proper documentation, change management, and knowledge transfer.
  • Support end-user training coordination and readiness planning.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
  • Gather post-implementation feedback and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to PMO governance standards, templates, and playbooks.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize infrastructure, implementation workflows, and vendor coordination.
  • Support scalability as the organization grows through acquisitions and expansion.
