Leads critical Information Services projects while coordinating with stakeholders and vendors to implement technology solutions on time and within budget. Responsibilities include: project plan, communication plan, allocating tasks and setting milestones. Works closely with United Regional’s Project Management Office and PMO processes to support the organization’s strategic plan and to uphold current best practices of Project Management, including appropriate application of lean tools Works closely with Information Services Division and project stakeholders to facilitate acceptable project outcomes Assist with development and maintains budget for Information Technology projects Anticipates and responds proactively to unforeseen conditions by recognizing trends, establishing priorities, coordinating projects, resources and implementing plans Establishes a climate of collaboration, trust, respect, and teamwork, defining and communicating expectations and assisting staff in the achievement of outcomes Level of direct involvement in projects is determined by the project’s strategic importance, level of risk, and assessed skill of the project leadership and team members. At a minimum, the IS Project Manager will: Maintain an understanding of the “big picture” and relationships between technology projects. Conduct periodic review of projects to ensure they are on the desired track to success. Report overall status of projects to PMO and other operational committees as appropriate Assist managers to identify and escalate project issues as needed Assist to escalate identified personnel issues through the chain of command as appropriate, where such issues pose risk to the project’s success
