About The Position

As the IT Project Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring projects across the business applications portfolio and IT business partners are well managed through formal project management policies and procedures. The position is responsible for maintaining all project deliverables, including project scheduling, risk management, change management, budget management, and status reporting. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and directing project teams to ensure successful delivery of objectives, fostering collaboration and maintaining alignment on scope, timelines and quality standards while delivering projects within budget. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Two years of experience in business systems analysis and/or project management
  • Six years of experience in business systems analysis and/or project management may be substituted for the combined education and experience requirements
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly convey ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders and be able to adapt communication style to the audience
  • Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, setting direction and maintaining accountability
  • Skills in conflict resolution, managing disagreements constructively while maintaining team harmony and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to evaluate information, weigh risks and make sound, timely decisions aligned with project goals and organizational priorities
  • Ability to think creatively under pressure while remaining calm and flexible in dynamic environments
  • Ability to actively listen, understand concerns and feedback while building trust through attentive engagement
  • Ability to manage scope changes and implement formal change control processes

Nice To Haves

  • A valid PMP Certification
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and IT systems
  • Risk identification, mitigation strategies and contingency planning

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets
  • Provide leadership to the project's participants and stakeholders, including managing expectations, conducting meetings, maintaining timelines, communicating needs and providing clear information
  • Anticipate and manage risks, track issues and change requests effectively
  • Remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to sponsors where required and communicate with all levels of stakeholders and provide regular status updates
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with standards
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts throughout a project
  • Oversee project closure and lessons learned documentation
