Requirements

Programming experience in a professional setting
Must have good problem solving skills.
Must have good math skills.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Must work well with others.
Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
Must have strong understanding of business systems.
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience with the following: Visual Basic, Progress, Windows XP/7, Lotus Notes.
Experience leading to knowledge of manufacturing systems.
Experience with wireless devices (scanners, printers, etc.).

Responsibilities

Analyzes customer’s needs for automated information.
Writes code to meet customer’s needs.
Provides direction to outside programmers / software suppliers.
Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
Participates in evaluation of new ‘business’ related software.
Manages upgrades to existing software programs.
Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software) as the need arises.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Participates in department meetings.
Completes documentation of activities as required.
Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
