About The Position

Universal Industries, Inc., a well-established manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment, is seeking a part-time IT Professional to join its team. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of internal computer hardware and software systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolidWorks is a plus
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Provide technical training and support to staff on a variety of topics
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential use within the organization
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, including hardware, software, security patches, and performance improvements
  • Manage network security, including user accounts, permissions, firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection
  • Maintain current knowledge of network infrastructure and software systems
  • Develop and manage documentation for all hardware and software resources
  • Ensure IT projects are completed on schedule and within budget
