About The Position

The Division of Information Technology’s mission and vision is to promote and protect the health of all New Yorkers through the use of innovative technology and health information that is useful and available. Duties will include but not be limited to: Act as the first point of contact for application-related inquiries, troubleshooting functional issues and identifying bugs. Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear technical specifications for the IT development team. Coordinate and perform testing on new software releases or updates to ensure they meet quality standards before going live. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system guides, workflow diagrams, and "how-to" resources for end-users. Help onboard and train staff on application features, updates, and best practices to ensure high adoption rates. Assist in the basic configuration of software settings, user permissions, and data management within the application.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering or a related field and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, complex IT infrastructure engineering; or,
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, complex IT infrastructure engineering; or,
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with specific platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, or industry-specific SaaS).
