IT PMO Leader (Remote): The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World In this role you will be responsible for establishing and leading the IT Project Management Office, ensuring robust project standards, governance, and methodologies are defined and consistently applied. Your previous experience setting up a PMO office will ensure success. You will oversee the IT project portfolio, resource allocation, and performance tracking, driving successful delivery of complex business initiatives. You will act as both a strategic leader and hands-on project manager for high-impact IT projects, championing innovation, security, and technical excellence across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business, Project Management or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, including 3+ years in a PMO leadership role.
  • At least 5 years of experiences in related IT field, delivering a wide range of IT projects from Infrastructure to ERP related (SAP Preference).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate within a matrix environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Makes fact-based decisions – is not swayed by contrary opinions or perceptions.
  • Is continually curious and open to new ideas.
  • Enables an environment that embraces creativity and innovation.
  • Takes the time to listen for understanding and asks questions to clarify.
  • Communicates directly, honestly, respectfully and in a timely manner to resolve conflict.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a managed service environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project management standards and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Lean).
  • Oversee the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational and technology goals.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, and compliance.
  • Lead project governance and cross functional IT team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Monitor project performance, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Optimize project delivery timeliness, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT project success.
  • Foster collaboration between IT, business units, and external partners.
