About The Position

The IT Orientation Coordinator facilitates IT onboarding and offboarding of personnel by coordinating account management, hardware logistics, and process tracking across geographies. You will act as a key liaison between IT, HR, direct supervisors, and functional teams to resolve issues, vet requests, gather information, and maintain timely communication. The Coordinator also leads IT orientation and training sessions, manages documentation, evaluates workflows, and supports both new hires and IT team members during transitions. This role combines onboarding and offboarding coordination, user enablement, and knowledge management.

Requirements

  • Talents/Strengths: communication, technical and interpersonal writing, time management, organization, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education/Training, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of team, office, or project management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with modern workplace computer hardware and enterprise applications
  • Experience developing and presenting training and documentation materials

Nice To Haves

  • Previous help desk or technology-related experience is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Execute IT components of employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Monitor onboarding/offboarding lists, assign tasks by geography, and ensure timely form submissions and approvals by direct supervisors/managers
  • Address urgent onboarding and offboarding actions and special requests
  • Manage user accounts following offboarding, including retention and deletion
  • Support large-scale onboarding/offboarding events
  • Serve as the IT point of contact for direct supervisors, HR, and staff regarding onboarding/offboarding
  • Periodically audit special work arrangements for select employees
  • Support new employees and check in periodically to address onboarding questions or issues
  • Monitor process efficiency and suggest improvements
  • Deliver live IT training during HR-led orientation sessions
  • Manage and update training content for both live sessions and the LMS
  • Develop and maintain documentation for onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Provide general and IT-specific onboarding for new IT team members
  • Assign IT hardware and software to new employees according to role requirements
  • Assign and remove software licenses during onboarding and offboarding
  • Coordinate hardware returns to designated locations
  • Monitor local hardware and software license inventories to ensure readiness and accuracy
