Position Overview The IT Operations Manager owns day-to-day IT service delivery across the company—end-user support, device lifecycle, identity and access, SaaS tooling, and core IT operational processes. This role ensures employees are productive from day one, incidents are handled quickly, standards are enforced, and vendors are managed effectively. You’ll build a reliable, scalable IT operating model suitable for a fast-moving professional services environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in IT operations / IT support leadership (or equivalent scope), ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong experience with endpoint management, identity/access, and SaaS administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable processes (onboarding/offboarding, device standards, ticket workflows).
  • Direct experience with Google Workspace applications and administration
  • Strong experience implementing and managing information security programs
  • Vendor management experience (Security, SaaS providers, hardware suppliers).
  • Clear communicator with high service orientation and strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable operating hands-on while also building systems and structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AEC, engineering, construction, or project-based professional services.
  • Familiarity with ERP / PSA systems and integrations (e.g. Deltek, Unanet).
  • Experience with MDM tooling (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Kandji) and SSO/IdP platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD/Entra ID, Google Cloud Identity).

Responsibilities

  • IT Service Delivery & Support Run the IT support function: intake, triage, escalation, and resolution (onsite + remote), overseeing regional IT leads and desktop support staff
  • Establish and enforce SLAs, prioritization, ticket hygiene, and user communication practices. Drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Endpoint & Application Lifecycle Management Own management, procurement, configuration, imaging, deployment, and refresh of laptops/PCs and peripherals (primarily US-based).
  • Standardize workstation builds for common role types (e.g., project delivery, VDC/technology, corporate).
  • Manage endpoint security, patching, and device compliance (Windows).
  • Own hardware inventory, asset tracking, warranty management, and disposal processes.
  • Identity, Access, and SaaS Administration Administer core productivity stack (e.g., Google Workspace/Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, file storage) in collaboration with system and IT administrators
  • Manage identity and access: SSO/MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning, role-based access, and least-privilege policies.
  • Maintain software license allocation, renewals, and cost controls.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding & IT Process Build onboarding/offboarding workflow with HR and hiring managers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and a self-service knowledge base.
  • Implement automation where practical (device setup, access provisioning, software deployment).
  • Security & Compliance Support Partner with security/compliance stakeholders to meet client and internal requirements.
  • Implement controls (device encryption, MFA, logging, endpoint protection, access reviews).
  • Assist in audits, evidence collection, and policy enforcement as needed.
  • Operational Reporting Produce and manage dashboards on tickets, SLAs, device fleet health, access changes, and recurring pain points using HRM system.
  • Identify trends and propose investments to reduce support load and risk.
