About The Position

As an IT Operations Intern, you will provide users with telephone and in-person technical support for PC hardware and software applications, networking issues, and remote access. You will also work throughout the Indianapolis Motor Speedway facility to support TCP/IP networks, ticket operations, etc. In this role, you'll be an important part of delivering top-tier experiences to fans, partners, and teams across the motorsports world. You'll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience using and supporting Microsoft desktop products, Office 365, etc.
• Knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and software
• Basic understanding of cloud-based technologies
• Experience in a role that directly interacts with multiple people on a daily basis
• Technically minded and able to solve basic computer and software issues
• A proactive, flexible mindset and commitment to excellence
• Cultural competence and the ability to thrive in a diverse environment

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in IT or related field

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial contact point for user issues by answering the IT Helpdesk phone and creating a ticket in the Helpdesk ticketing system.
• Assist users in resolving their issue.
• Work with the IT Operations team to troubleshoot and solve applications, network, and other problems.
• Assist IT Operations Team with temporary network deployments and other event setup tasks.
• Assist IT Operations Team with troubleshooting and staffing during track events.
• Complete special projects assigned by IT management.
