About The Position

The IT Operational Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT (information Technology) operational initiatives that maintain infrastructure reliability, security, and compliance. This position bridges strategic leadership goals with day-to-day execution, managing projects that optimize systems, processes, and service delivery across the IT department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT project management or Trillium projects supporting operations.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, cloud).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and cloud project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and close IT operational projects such as infrastructure upgrades, patching cycles, hardware refreshes, and process automation (e.g., AI, Wireless system replacement, VX Rails server management system replacement, IT SharePoint site enhancements, Clinic systems, IT Dashboards etc.).
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations aligned with departmental priorities.
  • Maintain the IT project master that tracks status on all operational updates.
  • Send out communications to All Staff alerting them of any operational impacts.
  • Track progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate recurring operational tasks including lifecycle management, capacity planning, and vendor maintenance schedules.
  • Manage vendor interactions and communications associated with assigned projects.
  • Creates SOP (standard operating procedures) documentation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements (HIPAA, SOC2), and internal governance policies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project status meetings, provide clear reporting on milestones, and escalate issues proactively.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manages internal workflow automation with Microsoft Forms.
  • Updates existing sites with content as needed (e.g., IS&T)
  • Assist with maintaining the IT Risk Registrar, including tracking the progress of all IT-identified risks and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist the IT team or department liaison to ensure all identified risks have been addressed, validated, and recorded as needed.
  • Support IT compliance via participating or coordinating information security audits.
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders on the impact of security measures on business processes.
  • Assist department members in developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participate and track the regular review of IS&T policies to align with industry’s best practices and evolving security requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry’s best practices and emerging threats, ensuring security policies are up-to-date and effective.
