About The Position

As an IT Manager, you’ll be in charge of building and scaling client IT infrastructures as well as leading and managing internal team members. You’ll primarily be tasked with clients of all sizes and environments from Mac OS to Windows devices, creating and helping execute IT policies as well as road maps, and defining IT budgets. All while leading your team of technicians to ensure efficient delivery and career growth. You’ll also be collaborating with people at all levels - including business owners and C-level staff - and will be building strong client relationships. This position is onsite up to 4 days/week, and may require occasional travel to client sites in the New York City Metropolitan area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a computing related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in an IT focused role
  • 4+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Experience with Mac OS and Windows
  • Well organized
  • Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills
  • Passion for IT as well as building relationships
  • Curious, self-starter, collaborative, and adaptable in an ever-changing field
  • Experience with management and leading a technical team

Nice To Haves

  • Degree with a technology focus
  • Certifications such as: CompTIA, Microsoft, Okta and/or AWS
  • Experience building out as well as deploying MDMs and SSO/IDP providers

Responsibilities

  • Be final escalation point for your team and client scenarios
  • Build and execute IT roadmap planning for your clientele
  • Help manage physical assets such as inventory, cable management, and the general workspace
  • Manage and support identity providers that govern application access such as Okta and Google Workspace
  • Develop and update standards, policies, and procedures as well as best practices documentation in line with compliance requirements
  • Help configure automations and tooling especially as it relates to on-boarding and offboarding flows
  • Facilitate IT shipments such as on/offboarding packages and equipment
  • Manage and support a team of associate IT consultants and IT consultants alike. Ensuring growth and development of the individuals
