About The Position

The Information Technology Manager’s role is to ensure proper information system operations so that resort staff can operate effectively and efficiently. This includes all networking, servers, software, wireless, point of sale, telecommunications, and security systems. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help at the desktop level.

Requirements

  • At minimum an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in computer networking and hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Willingness to learn, branch out beyond typical I.T. responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with common Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows 11)
  • 1-2 years of Windows Server administration (AD, File Server, DHCP, DNS)
  • 1-2 years of network administration
  • Willingness to take work calls when necessary
  • Willingness to work on the weekends when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IP Phone Systems, Ubiquiti Systems, Point of Sale and Property Management Systems, and any audio/video equipment (projectors, mixers, speakers), as well as cable TV systems and fiber a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems at the server, network, and desktop level
  • Set up and maintain all workstations and POS systems and necessary peripherals (printers/scanners etc.)
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • Install, configure, and maintain all server infrastructure as needed
  • Install, configure, and maintain all network infrastructure as needed
  • Ensure data backups run as scheduled and test frequently
  • Administer the voice/phone network
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors for solutions to problems with property management or point of sale systems
  • Help ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Assess vendors for new hardware, software, and systems
  • Provide some guidance/training to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment as needed
  • Setup of audio/video equipment as needed
  • Arcade equipment repair as needed
