Texas Original has an immediate opening for a capable, hardworking, team player to manage our organization’s IT needs/requirements. Successful candidate will be stable, experienced, willing to work as a team and handle a variety of areas including desktop support for PC and Mac computers mostly in a Microsoft 365 environment; document management software; network maintenance and support; UCaaS phone system; security cameras; Access Control Systems; etc. To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems to ensure that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5 years of IT experience
  • 2 years of people management experience
  • 2 vendor management experience
  • Experience in a PC and Mac-heavy environment
  • Network design, implementation and management experience
  • Familiarity with KPI’s, SLOs, and SLAs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Is leading (or has recently led) the entire IT function for a company of similar size and complexity

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS), or CompTIA Security+.
  • Project & Process Management: ITIL 4 Foundation (for service management/best practices) or PMP/CAPM (for managing satellite location deployments).

Responsibilities

  • Supervising/maintaining daily operations of network and IT infrastructure to include desktop support for PC and Mac computing environment
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party IT professionals (GCS Technologies)
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners across the company by communicating clearly and regularly and ensuring the IT function consistently provides best in class service
  • Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals and creating a two-to-three-year roadmap with internal customers and executive leadership
  • Provide managerial oversight of company systems including Productivity and Security Suite which utilizes Microsoft 365, Network (Cisco Meraki), Chat (Teams), and Collaboration (Ring Central/Zoom/Teams).
  • Find opportunities for system optimization, redesign, or process improvement, AI implementation opportunities, including change and incident management.
  • Implement and maintain network, data, and communication system security, including access controls, endpoint protection, and monitoring, evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive IT inventory and asset management program covering hardware, software, licenses, and accessories. Ensure accurate documentation of device ownership, location, configuration, and warranty status.
  • Oversee secure decommissioning, data wiping, and disposal of retired equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting information systems to operate effectively
  • Implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems
  • Design Network drop layouts and infostructure for satellite locations
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate, implement, and optimize enterprise applications and collaboration platforms.
  • Manage integrations between systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and efficiency.
  • Create and lead IT training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen internal IT capabilities; establish IT policies, procedures, and standards to support consistency and compliance.
  • Define and report on IT performance metrics, including asset utilization, ticket resolution, system uptime, and security incidents.
  • Oversee on-site physical security technology across all company locations, including cameras, access control systems, and related infrastructure (Securitas, Vital Security, etc)
  • Manage and maintain security camera systems; retrieve, preserve, and provide video footage from all locations in response to incidents, investigations, audits, or leadership requests.
  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for incident-related technical support, partnering with HR, Facilities, and executive leadership as needed.
  • Administer key fob and badge access systems for all locations, including provisioning, modifying, and revoking access based on role, location and employment status.
  • Maintain accurate access control and security system documentation, including user access logs, camera locations, retention schedules, and incident reports.
