About The Position

The IT Manager is responsible for the successful hands-on leadership with implementing & maintaining all information systems for Hotel Bennett and Middleton Place. The IT Manager must ensure that all systems are operating properly, while focusing on providing service professional satisfaction. Candidate should be able to function with minimal supervision and be able to adapt to changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science or related discipline and/or; or three to five (3-5) years related experience.
  • Read and interpret documents in English such as periodicals, journals and manuals
  • Able to write for various channels, routine reports, correspondence, business letters, summaries using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups such as business partners, clients or employees
  • Apply common sense understanding to business and social situations and in carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Able to apply mathematical skills to interpret financial information and to prepare reports and budgets
  • Read and interpret business records and statistical reports
  • Make business decisions based on reports and facts, as well as on experience and personal insight
  • Experience in fast paced environment in which they have shown they can conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) preferred.
  • Must have network experience, but a CCNA certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with remote users (connectivity, access, etc.)
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Experience in Hotel Technology is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Ability to manage internal and external resources to address day-to-day needs for applications troubleshooting and issues resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of property technology systems such as PMS & POS, Familiarity with industry systems including those currently in use by Salamander Collection such as Opera, Simphony, Book4time and Nuvola.
  • Experience in troubleshooting PMS, POS and credit card gateway systems and working with multiple vendors to drive resolution.
  • In depth understanding of routing and switching. Must have network experience, but a CCNA certification is preferred. Must know how to configure and troubleshoot network equipment, cabling, patch panel & know how to troubleshoot networking issues.
  • Understanding of Fortigate firewall, Aruba switches, LAN, WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, VoIP, DHCP, FTP, DNS, RDS, SMB, VPN, SSL.
  • Active Directory, GPO management, RD Gateway Terminal Server deployment, RemoteApp
  • HyperV server and virtual server administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Windows Server 2012 to 2019, WSUS, windows updates, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, SSL certificates.
  • SAN and NAS Storage, iSCSI, Fibre Channel
  • Office 365 hosted email service and Office applications including MS Teams, and Sharepoint End Point protection, web filtering solutions.
  • Backup and disaster recovery.
  • Experience in using IT help desk tools such as Autotask, DattoRMM and IT Glue.
  • Maintain a high level of service and support by using a ticket/tracking system.
  • Software and firmware patching and updates, maintain service support agreements for all IT hardware, IT budget planning, SOPs, license renewal.
  • Experience in PC setup and troubleshooting.
  • Basic printer, scanner & peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Documentation and SOP for IT systems, procedures, and any information related to the operation of the department such as IP spreadsheets, software/license/certificate renewal schedule etc.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and other departments.
  • Ability to work with hotel teams and regional leadership to understand needs and clearly articulate solutions.
  • Must be available to work on-call as needed.
