About The Position

The Manager of Infrastructure provides strategic leadership for the Network Engineering team, ensuring the organization’s system infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable to support business operations and future growth. This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, and long-term planning, working closely with the Infrastructure Architect and the Manager of System Infrastructure to align infrastructure execution with business objectives. This role is responsible for daily operations, event support, team performance, and delivery of system infrastructure initiatives, while developing engineers through coaching, feedback, and clear goal-setting. The Manager of Network Infrastructure is expected to lead with professionalism, respect, and accountability, modeling the behaviors and communication standards of the Infrastructure organization, and embodying organizational values by leading by example, putting people first, fostering inclusion, innovating continuously, listening and responding, and giving back through mentorship and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years' experience in IT infrastructure roles.
  • At least three years leading or managing technical teams.
  • Strong background in both network and server infrastructure domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, conduct performance reviews, and establish measurable objectives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working alongside architecture or enterprise design teams.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, service management, or operational maturity frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, PaloAlto Networks).

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management Directly manage a team of 5 engineers.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and goal-setting sessions.
  • Set clear expectations consistent with team and organizational priorities.
  • Mentor engineers in technical development, operational best practices, and career advancement.
  • Promote a culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Infrastructure Operations & Delivery Supervise daily operations of Enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, remote connectivity)
  • Ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability of all system infrastructure services.
  • Lead incident response, escalation processes, and root-cause analysis for system infrastructure-related issues.
  • Drive enhancements in operational maturity, documentation standards, and automation practices.
  • Collaborate with Client Services/Event Services team to train and develop our analyst team to better provide first level support.
  • Partner with the Client Services and Event Services teams to deliver targeted training and development for our analyst team, enhancing their ability to provide effective first-level support.
  • Strategic Alignment & Architecture Collaboration Work in partnership with Systems Infrastructure Manager and Infrastructure Architect to:
  • Align infrastructure platforms with overarching business goals and projected growth.
  • Translate architectural guidelines into actionable implementation plans.
  • Provide operational insights to influence architecture decisions.
  • Support the development of infrastructure roadmaps, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives.
  • Security, Risk & Compliance Maintain adherence to security best practices and internal standards across infrastructure platforms.
  • Collaborate with security teams on patch management, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Assist with audit processes, compliance activities, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Project & Stakeholder Engagement Lead and participate in infrastructure projects organization wide.
  • Balance project delivery requirements with routine operational responsibilities.
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as an escalation point for cross-team infrastructure dependencies.
  • Vendor & Financial Management Oversee relationships with vendors supporting network infrastructure.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Support contract assessments, renewals, and evaluation of technology solutions.
