IT: Management Information Systems Intern
About The Position
As directed by the IT Services Manager, the IT Intern or Extern performs IT projects and assists with delivering quality customer service to SFMOMA employees by providing them with help to resolve technical problems. The IT Intern will be able to provide troubleshooting and problem resolution services to staff regarding a wide variety of hardware and software issues. The IT Intern receives project assignments from the IT Services Manager and uses documented processes and procedures to execute required duties. The IT Internâs duties will conform to standard collegiate internship requirements and norms by being employed in any area including, but not limited to, help desk, hardware technician, networking technician, system administration, or computer operation by performing supervised work involving computer use. Superior customer service skills are required.
Requirements
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in school or a recent graduate. The SFMOMA recognizes a graduation date within 6 months of the internship start date as a recent graduate.
- If you are a current employee of the SFMOMA applying for an internship, you must be a current student or a recent graduate, within 6 months of the internship start date.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the organization and modernization of the Microsoft Active Directory Enterprise environment
- Support the creation and deployment of PC images using Intune, SCCM and Group Policy
- Aid in the deployment of a RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) platform for overseeing servers, computers and other endpoints on site
- Assist with the improvement of the JAMF platform for Apple device management
