About The Position

Hoar is recruiting qualified applicants who are currently studying Computer Science/IS/IT. This intern will be assigned to assist professional Technology staff with providing project management (collecting, recording, and analyzing) for current and future initiatives, computer hardware, software and technical support to various divisions within Hoar. Intern will provide IT support to office operations, including some of the following tasks: - IT troubleshooting and answering IT questions - Analyze current business operations to help provide possible solutions with using current systems or the need to go outside and evaluate a system not currently used at the company. - Perform minor repairs to equipment - Maintains software and hardware registration and inventory - Accomplishes other IT duties/tasks as required - Travel to jobsites might be required PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Requirements

  • Student must be actively pursuing a degree in Computer Sciences\IS\IT or equivalent degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must have working knowledge of the PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software
  • Student must have working knowledge of the PC industry’s current and emerging technology trends and direction
  • Must be able to interact effectively with Management, staff and other personnel, work independently, and/or as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License Required
