Internship Program is to provide students with assignments that allow them to make meaningful contributions to MTI, the ability to apply classroom theory to real world applications, and be given the ability to demonstrate their capabilities and potential. MTI will also benefit from students sharing the latest state-of-the-art theory from their respective schools with managers and supervisors. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of and reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Intern learns the basics of information technology tasks and responsibilities when working with multiple facilities. The Student will be given various IT projects, as well as the opportunity to be involved with day-to-day activities of the IT Team. This position will focus on (but not limited to): Networking and Network Administration Computer hardware installation and repair User training and assistance Basic computer programming tasks

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals within MTI
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Ability to work self-directed and individually
  • Demonstrates organizational and project management skills
  • Understands and can meet deadline oriented business transactions
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a BS in Information Technology
  • Must have completed the sophomore year in the major program of study
