Position summary: Power Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu. Through digitalization and electrification, we strive to develop drive and power generation solutions that provide answers to the challenges posed by the rapidly growing societal demands for energy and mobility. We deliver and service comprehensive, powerful and reliable systems, based on both gas and diesel engines, as well as electrified hybrid systems. These technologically advanced solutions serve our customers in the marine and infrastructure sectors worldwide. The IT Intern will support the local IT Department with various IT tasks and special projects. This temporary assignment provides hands-on experience across all aspects of IT support. Responsibilities include assisting with computer setup, IT onboarding, projects, reporting, and general IT support.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic IT principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good command of the English language, oral and written
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly
• Must possess the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
• Must be able to maintain a very high level of confidentiality
• Attending an accredited college/university and will be continuing your education after the internship.
• You must be working towards a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0

Responsibilities

• Observing all areas of IT Help Desk
• Be introduced to the various software systems used within the department
• Becoming familiar with and supporting Rolls-Royce and mtu on-site energy IT processes
• Assisting with IT help desk tickets as well as answering employee inquiries regarding computer IT issues
