About The Position

Reporting under the IT Department, the IT Intern is responsible for providing technical and operational support to the IT team while gaining hands-on experience in enterprise technology, user support, and IT operations. This role supports daily IT functions and assists with projects that improve system reliability, security, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common business applications required.
  • Previous internship, coursework, or hands-on experience in an IT support or technical role preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and basic networking concepts preferred.
  • Experience using an IT ticketing or help desk system preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Must be a self-motivated problem solver and should have a desire to learn new technologies
  • Should have the ability to research and understand technical documentation, and an understanding of how to apply various technical resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT service requests and incidents via ticketing system, email, or phone.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS workstations and standard business applications.
  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and access provisioning.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for hardware, software, and IT procedures.
  • Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting (wired and wireless).
  • Support audio/visual and conferencing technologies for meetings and events.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff as appropriate.
  • Follow IT security policies and best practices to protect company data and systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the IT department as needed.
