About The Position
Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a IT Intern to join our growing team. This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State. POSITION DESCRIPTION Interns are college students who work for Janicki to obtain work experience in varying disciplines. They work during a college break, e.g. summer break for a duration of 10-12 weeks (minimum commitment of 10 weeks). We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in IT operations and insight into Janicki.
Requirements
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed.
- Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Studying toward a degree in computer science or related field
- Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work well independently and under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Moving and preparing IT inventory
- Ensure copiers are stocked
- Ensure conference rooms are clean and ready to use
- Walking the production floor in various buildings often, proactively communicating with employees and improving IT solutions
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
- Performs other duties as assigned
