About The Position

This position is located in and will be reporting out of Columbus, OH.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
  • Must have an education focus in at least one of the following areas: Engineering and Computer Science.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must have strong math, science, and analytical skills.
  • Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.
  • Must possess initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Must possess the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Student is at least entering their 3rd year of University and has a focus in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Has experience using programming languages such as .Net, Angular, Python, Microsoft Power apps and Power Automate etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data analytics efforts to identify trends and provide recommendations based on those results.
  • Provide support for cross-departmental and corporate initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of current technical processes and procedures.
  • Documents processes and workflows using swimlanes, builds requirements, reviews with stakeholders, and then builds applications to support the requirements and improve or automate a process.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand process pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Actively participates in technical and business innovation efforts.
  • Support custom developed applications that were built using programming languages, such as PowerFX, Python, Java, etc
  • Develop and maintain user manuals and system documentation for developed software.
  • Trains end users to operate new or modified programs.
  • Write scripts using languages such as Microsoft Powershell to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
  • Generate statistics and write reports or dashboards for management and/or team members on status of projects and process improvements.
  • May be required to learn other enterprise software applications and help with supporting and improving them. Examples could include Hyland Onbase, Microsoft Sharepoint, or others.
  • Must have ability to work across departments and functional teams to implement and support applications.
  • Participate in assigned projects according to the IT project management methodology, procedures, and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Monitors field devices for outages and performs initial troubleshooting steps to diagnose and remediate remote equipment issues.
  • Provides network preventative maintenance services to ensure network integrity.
  • Assists with acquisition and deployment of hardware, software, and services.
  • Monitor and review system generated alerts.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Work with vendors to resolve failed hardware incidents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
